The New York duodenal switch contingent met at Dr. Gagner’s office on April 12, 2000, and a great time was had by all. As one Gagner patient (Jill, pictured below) wrote in her post-meeting report to the Duodenal Switch mailing list, “As evidenced by last night's Gagner Group, the friendship and camaraderie I feel for you guys instantly translates upon meeting face-to-face into friendship that belies a brief physical acquaintance -- I feel more like I am attending a reunion of old friends than meeting some of you for the first or second time. And I know that it will be the same for those I haven't met yet.”
